Meet Obi

Obi studied acting at 16th Street Actors Studio, a small independent acting school, and graduated in 2025.

Working professionally in Melbourne theatres, such as fortyfivedownstairs, has given Obi great insight into how theatre functions as an entity and the hard work and dedication it requires. He has also previously written and created short films, one of which won the STUFFit Student Film Festival in 2024.

Obi believes connecting and sharing with people on a deeper level in such a complex and nuanced field like the arts is what draws so many people to it.  Being able to share moments of joy, anger, frustration, and sadness in such an open way, while never shying away from the truth, is what gives the art of acting its power.

His passion for creating and sharing stories is what led Obi to this industry, and what will sustain his acting and directing as not just a passion, but a profession with longevity.
